The EasyShare C613 features a 6.2-megapixel CCD for stunning prints up to 20 by-30 inches, and more megapixels means you can crop and still get a great picture, while Kodak Color Science helps to capture bright, beautiful color. A Kodak AF 3x optical aspheric zoom lens (35 mm equivalent of 36?108 mm) captures crisp details and gets you closer to your subjects without losing picture quality, and 5x digital zoom enlarges your pictures even more. Plus, The EasyShare C613 has the one feature you’ve come to expect - simplicity. Because if your camera is simple to use, you’ll love to take pictures. Minimize

Nice little camera

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: small size, simple to use, great pictures, low price

Cons: cheap display, no AC adaptor/charger, missing controls, no visor, weak flash

The Bottom Line:
This camera is very good for taking everyday pictures. It is easy to carry around and the batteries seem to last forever.

Author's Review
I bought this camera a couple of weeks ago and I am very happy with it. At 149 CAD it came with one Secure Digital memory card of one Gigabyte, as a bonus, at Bureau En Gros, which is the French Staples. It fits into any of my pockets, it works on two AA batteries, which I like, and it takes great indoor and outdoor pictures. However, the overall picture quality depends heavily on the light conditions. The image stabilizer has considerable negative impact on the overall image quality, unless there is plenty of light around. The optical zoom can only be set to predefined ratios. Some features or settings are completely missing e.g. the picture view time cannot be set, the zoom ratio does not change continuously, there is no on-camera sound capability for movie playback, there are no visor, battery charger or camera bag. The Ok button does not have the joystick functionality, which is found on C663. All buttons are well placed and easy to access, but this might not be true at all for the left-handed people. Compared to the C663 model, which is more expensive and has more features, the C613 comes with a separate On/Off button. This is good because I do not have to switch through all modes to get it turned off, as I have to do it for C663. The tripod hole has been placed opposite to the battery compartment and thus the batteries can be changed without removing the tripod. Although the camera is advertised as having 6.2 Mega pixels, the menu setting for Picture Size goes from 1.2 to 6.1 Mega pixels only. On the bright side, all controls are easy to learn and use.
Overall, C613 comes with an impressive quality/price ratio.
Other digital cameras I own: Canon A10, Kodak C663, HP M537
