The EOS 20D and Canon f3.5-5.6/18mm-55mm EF-S zoom kit

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: 8 megapixels, DIGIC II, very fast, full manual exposure options, excellent battery life

Cons: Complex, images are a bit soft at default settings (but users can crank up sharpening)

The EOS 20D is well built and beautifully engineered, a genuinely viable option for anyone looking for a feature rich and reasonably priced digital SLR. Read More at Epinions.com

WOW! What a camera

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: FAAAAAAAAAAAAST camera, large buffers, 5 fps, exposure control!, 3 shutter modes

Cons: Expensive, Canon tries to limit third-party products, no preview mode, no stitch mode

Bottom Line:
Torn between a Rebel & 20D? Save for the 20D now there's also 30D. All canon EF/EF-S lenses work with this body. Digic image sensor superior to other types. Read More at Epinions.com

Cons: Quality control is TERRIBLE. Small dim color LCD display. Heavy.

Bottom Line:
Excellent camera, terrible quality control, first 2 were defective. Buy at brick and mortar store with exchange capability if possible. Read More at Epinions.com
