A disappointment

Pros: Very adaptable mounting system. Easy to install. All-in-one solution, with no extra cords.
Cons: Tuner doesn't stay on frequency. Rattling noise due to loose internal parts. Bulky.
The Bottom Line:
Great idea. Poor implementation. I recommend waiting for a better model to come out.
If this product hadn't come along, I was going to create my own version of this... unfortunately, I still might have to.
The biggest gripe I have is that they use a very touchy knob tuner for the FM frequency setting instead of a set of pre-selected frequencies controlled by phase locked loops.
The long and short of it is that *every* time I get into my car, I have to adjust the tuner on the Transpod, and then, as the car changes temperature I have to adjust it later, usually in busy traffic. Adjusting takes 5 to 15 seconds because the tuner knob is so touchy.
This is such a major design flaw that I cannot recommend this product.
The other problem with the system is that there is a rattle in the mounting system that I can't get rid of. The cradle for the iPod is also a little bulky, e.g. it could be streamlined and shrunken down, but this isn't so bad.
Otherwise, the concept is great: you get a variety of adapters for mounting, which makes it very convenient to install.
I'm going to buy a new one of these when:
1) They come out with rev #2 with the tuning problem fixed.
2) A competitor comes out with a better model.
