A rear-drive sedan with a design completely opposite that of its previous design philosophy. This car has long hood, low profile and tons of V8 power courtesy of an all-new Hemi powerhouse. A lower V6 model may also be offered, along with possible coupe and all-wheel-drive variations. Of course, it also packs numerous Mercedes Benz parts.

Pros: Eye grabber, clean lines, great ride, comfortable seating, very roomy, sporty yet plush.
Cons: Sluggish at times, and gets more attention than I do.
The Bottom Line:
ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED
Sporty enough and luxurious enough to please both parties? I recently purchased a 2006 Charger SXT and I've been staring at it from my living room window since the day I picked it up. This car was designed so beautifully, even though many "true" muscle car enthusiasts hate the fact that it boasts four doors. I can't argue that this car has lost some of it's original design, but I never owned an older model Charger...so it's fine by me.
The silver metallic paint-job shimmers in the sun and glows by the moonlight. The interior is a little bland, but cleanly done. You won't find hundreds of interior lights, gadgets, or illuminated dials in this modern day sport-sedan...but I didn't want them to begin with. Seating is very comfortable and roomy enough for us tall guys (I'm about 6'2"). There's also plenty of room in the back for a babyseat and two passengers...easily. I've had no problems in the rain with the rear wheel drive...but I've yet to drive it in the snow. We'll see how it does soon enough.
The acceleration in my SXT is not much to boast about...but it's very similar to my last Chevy Impala which I traded in. There's plenty of pep for someone who's used to driving a 6 cylinder vehicle. If you want the extra growl and power of the 8 cylinder...then you can always go for the HEMI. I didn't have the opportunity to drive the HEMI yet...maybe soon just to satisfy my curiosity.
Bottom line is this. If you're looking for a sporty, luxurious-like car with mass appeal...look into the Charger. Each time I valet this car or stop at a light, plenty of heads turn and stare at it. It's very hard to turn away from...and hard to drive under 55.
GREAT JOB DODGE.
