The Avenger coupe is manufactured in Normal, Ill. with a newly redesigned front and rear exterior. New changes for 1998 include optional 16 inch cast aluminum wheels on the Highline and standard 17 inch cast aluminum wheels on the ES. ABS brakes are now an option on all models. Also new is the addition of Black/Gray interior colors and the exterior color Caffe Latte. The Avenger comes standard with a unique seating system which allows the six-way manually adjustable driver seat to retain memory of its last position. The speed sensitive power assist rack and pinion steering increases maneuverability at low speeds and transfers a firm feel of the road surface to the driver at higher speeds.
