Pros: Good, solid hardware with nice design. Cons: Good after-purchase support from Dell is a thing of the past. Bottom Line: Thoroughly recommended

Pros: wide screen, fast processor, battery life, ergonomics, design, keyboard size, USB2.0 and Firewire ports. Cons: weight and length is sometimes inconvenient for carrying in a pack. Bottom Line: Dell 8600 - My Favorite laptop so far.
