I love my I8600!

Pros: Fast speed, awesome speed and long battery life.
Cons: Maybe a bit pricey. Paid $2400
The Bottom Line:
Fast and awesome screen. Does not get too hot after many hours of use. Fast 7200 rpm 60 gig hard drive.
I saved a few $$$ and got the 1.4 but it's way faster than my 1.7 P4 desktop by Dell (8200). I got the UXGA screen which, for my 45 year old eyes, is harder to read but using Mozilla browser at 120% works fine.
The Truemobile 1300 works very well with my Linksys 54G wireless router and with wireless on, I routinely get 3 1/2 hours of battery time. More without the wireless. DVD's look superb and the sound from the 2 front speakers are more than adequate for a laptop. The 128 Nvidia 5650 vid card is more than what I need since I don't play games. I also got the DVD burner which, I admit, I don't use too much but the few times I did, it worked fine.
After getting my 8600, I did reformat and install only the software I like with it and forgot about some of the included software from Dell (I'm a bit particular).
As for support, I have Compaqs, Gateways and Dells and none are tops in my book but I've been lucky since many of the problems I've had with these 3 are problems easily solved. In today's money tight ways, you can't get price and quality at 100% for 100% of the time.
