Pros: Way cooler than an iPod, you can do SO much more!

Cons: Sometimes will lock up and needs a soft reset in the back.

The Bottom Line: 
Dell has stopped selling this model as of fall of 2005. Buy the Model 50 instead because it has both Compact Flash and SD slots. I LOVE MINE!

After not being able to keep a calendar current for years, I finally got an X30 with the hopes of being able to sync up my Outlook Calendar from work, with all the stuff to be done at home.

It not only did that, but SO much more! Contacts list, ToDo List, I could get my email if my inbox did not have 2900 items in it.

About 2 months after I bought it, I downloaded MP3s and now have my 5 favorite albums on it. You will need a 512meg or 1gig SD card very soon!

My son downloaded movie trailers using WiFi. Don't pay for the Video iPod, buy this instead! It works better on my WiFi at home than my laptops, primarily because it's 802.11b, instead of 802.11g.

I have 2 Bibles on it. I have TradeWinds ( a really cool game from WildGames ) on it.

I've even heard there's an Adobe Acrobat reader, in which case I'll download product documentation to it. May try that tonight.

Requests for Dell:

Can you put a 30-40 gig hard drive in one of these? If Apple can in their iPod, then you can. How about a full load of Windows XP, since it's already at 624mhz? Then a docking station which would support an extra hard drive, a DVD/CD player/burner, a 10-1 media (for SD and flash cards), and USB keyboard, mouse, and monitor hookups? It would just be my "main computer" then.

Please multitask better in this computer. Full Windows XP load on a PDA. The task switcher is a pain. It locks up once in a while.
