I bought this little machine after doing a lot of research. It produces wonderful shots of espresso (if you tamp the grounds down with the right amount of pressure) with a lot of crema. There is no timer on the espresso, so you can judge for yourself when you want to stop the stream (After too long, the shot becomes bitter).
It comes with a handle to use pods, but it's too easy to measure out finely ground coffee, so I won't be keeping that part. There's a strange steamer attachment that looks vaguely penis-like that I don't really want or need.
The steamer is easy to use, as long as you remember not to touch the metal while using it/as you clean it. I love using the steam wand for hot water. It's ready before a kettle on the stove can boil.
The reservoir is easy to fill, either at the tap or with a jug. I just fill it with a jug to prevent spilling.
All in all, I love this product. It is easy to use with a little practice: beginner and professional baristas will love to have it in their homes.
I found mine on sale at a drugstore for $179.99 Canadian, and couldn't be happier with it. I use it a lot to make London Fogs- earl grey tea, steamed milk & vanilla.
