I almost got the other Danby until I realized it was not fully automatic and I also considered the Haier because of the reviews but now I have this particular Danby (better price for its size) and I am in love with my little washing machine! I am in love with Danby and its products for apt dwellers! I've only had the washing machines for a couple of weeks and I think it's wonderful. It's summer now here in LA, so not having a dryer is not a hardship since things hang dry in a couple of hours at most, even blankets. The washer can only take one blanket at a time, but it can do them. Don't overfill it. Only need an ounce or so of detergent per load, and if it's portable, then you need to manually switch between hot and cold water if that's what you want (just a matter of moving the faucet handle from left to right for me). Fairly easy to move around and not that heavy. I almost (almost) could have gotten it up the stairs myself, but I hired someone to do it and in the end, that was best. Love the European styling.
