When you are looking for affordable, high quality products for your home, office, or business; than look to Danby for all your appliance needs! When you need a compact dryer, you can´t go wrong with the DCD5505W by Danby Designer. With a height just shy of standard counter height, and a width and depth of less than 2 feet, this dryer will fit almost anywhere. And don´t be fooled by its compact size- this dryer offers features found in high quality full sized dryers, like a sensor to monitor the dryness of your clothes (forget about wrinkled clothing caused by overdrying), electronic controls, 9 different drying programs, a door-mounted air filter, and more! Plus- this dryer is stackable. It is designed to pair perfectly with the Danby Designer Frontloading EnergyStar Stackable Washer, but it features innovative suction cups on the bottom of its legs that allow it to be stacked on top of virtually any washer (provided the washer has a smooth top and is larger in size than this Danby Designer Stackable...

Pros: Space saver and efficient. Gets clothes dry without shrinkage.
Cons: Short vent flange. Manual shut off switch.
We've had out matched set of Danby dryer and washer for a year this week. We like them both! The dryer is pretty light and can be stacked on top of the compact but very heavy washer. The dryer does not use super heated air like many dries that shrink clothes. It seems to rely on volume not heat. Internal tub is mostly stainless steel, which is unusual in budget model dryers. Like the washer, this unit only holds medium sized loads. I don't recommend this machine to large families or folks who wash a lot of clothing. The only thing I didn't like was the vent coupling only flanges out about 1/2 " or 1.5 cm, so it is a little difficult to get the vent hooked on.
