Sony DW-DR22A: Finally a single disc uncompressed backup solution for DVD movies

Pros: Fast, quiet and holds up to 8.5GB on a dual layer disc.

Cons: OEM version comes with no software, warranty or support and a 15 day return period.

The Sony DW-D22A is actually a REBRANDED LiteOn SOHW-1633S

Pros: Fast, Reliable, Native Support in Windows XP

Cons: No Technical Support Available, Unsupported Flash Updates Required for Some Media, No Software Included.

A good choice if you are technically capable, or have a friend that can handle the firmware upgrade for you; and you already have CD burning software. Read More
