Pros: Fine when it worked

Cons: Absolutely Useless Warranty and Customer Service For My Situation.

I recommended this to a friend before I knew Norcent did not honor their warranty.

I bought this camera the end of May.
It worked great.
I loved the movie mode being limited by the memory card as opposed to a 3 minute time limit on my prior camera.
I thought the optics were good as was the ease of use.

THEN

One day I took it out of the camera bag travelling next to my previous camera and then took it out of it's own camera bag and

When I turned it on, there was an unchangeable image on the LCD.
I could not use the LCD as a viewfinder, change modes, zoom, NOTHING!

I emailed Norcent and explained the situation.
I received a reply saying I would have to buy a new camera.

I did not drop my bag or do anything to cause the problem. The camera was less than 2 months old.
They said it was not covered under their warranty.
Well what the **** is covered under your warranty Norcent?


Why have an unfunctioning warranty?

By the way, this camera requires the investment of additional batteries and an SD memory card

After two emails, three phone calls and a fax of the warranty to them showing their warranty does not spell out this condition is not covered, Attorney general, here I come
