I have heard my mother rave about cuisinart appliances since I can remember so when I was given a reasonable ine of credit from one of those ritzy magazines, well I just had to get myself a Blender!==============================Let me just say that it definitely lives up to its great reputation....so far not a single problem. The glass base comes off with a half twist for easy cleaning....but a word of caution...DON'T---I said DON'T stick yor hand in like I did to clean it with the sponge!! If necessary, fill it with warm soapy water and let it soak...those blades are so sharp that I didn't even feel the huge cut at first...but I sure did feel it for days afterwards! ==============================But back to the blender, my favorite thing to blend has become an Orange Julius....very simple. Orange Juice, and Vanilla ice cream and 60 seconds in this blender and Voila! Just be careful not to drink too fast or you'll soon have a freeze headache!==============================The Cuisinart blender has different buttons for different features. For Example, mix, chop, and my personal favorite...LIQUIFY! It sounds like something you would hear on one of my husbands action-adventure flicks, but for my kitchen!==============================You may be wondering, why not just get the $20.00 version from one of the local chain stores? Well normally I would, but like I said I had a new line of credit and I have a feeling this blender will be in the family long enough to pass it down to my daughter, and maybe her daughter! The name speaks for itself...
