I have used many blenders over the past 10 years, and I have to say that I've been the most pleased with this one.

I bought it about 10 months ago to replace an Oster blender that was originally from the late 60's. It was also chrome and looked nice on the counter, which is the main reason why I chose this one to replace it.

Although I use it frequently, I must admit that the only thing I generally use it for is making protein shakes. That said, I have used it to crush ice, make cake mix, and combine other ingredients that are not necessarily easy to mix. In all cases I have not been disappointed.

It is easy to use, easy to disassemble, easy to clean, and easy to re-assemble.

The pulse feature is nice to have and I would never own a blender that didn't have that option.

I like the fact that it has a glass container because plastic doesn't last as long and seems to leak more often. The plastic base is less than I would have liked since it will eventually scratch and not be as durable as the original 60's chrome I once owned.

Speaking of leaking, most of the blenders I have used in the past have this problem -- usually where the container screws on to the base. This blender has not leaked so far.

I looked at many other blenders before choosing this one and although I mainly bought it for it's counter appeal, I have been very pleased with its performance.

I would definitely recommend this blender to anyone.
