I did a lot of shopping around before I purchased the Cuisinart Griddler. I am very glad I chose it. It's an awesome appliance and my whole family enjoys it!

The Cuisinart Griddler is considered an indoor grill and panini maker. The reality is that this little appliance does a whole lot more than make a killer grilled sandwich. We use it more than our stove! It has also replaced the microwave for many things -- using the griller results in better taste & texture than we achieved with the microwave. We use this appliance to cook sausage & bacon, grill hot dogs, fry eggs, cook frozen chicken patties and make great grilled sandwiches.

The machine has two functions: griddle and panini press. Using the griddle selection, you chose your temperature, wait until the Griddler heats up, then put your food in and close the lid. Using the panini setting, you chose from low-med-high and then put your food in. The Griddler comes with two sets of pans -- one smooth and one grill set. The grill set is used for sandwiches, the flat set used for cooking eggs, etc. It also comes with grease cups that you use when cooking sausage, bacon, philly cheesesteak, etc. as well as a cleaning tool. The plates are dishwasher safe, a very nice perk. But we find ourselves handwashing ours because we use it at almost every meal!

The Griddler heats up quicky and really cuts cooking time. You can grill a panini or other sandwich in about three minutes.

The machine opens up flat, so you can use the entire surface if you want to use it as a grill. This works great for cooking tortillas or breakfast foods (like eggs). The non-stick surface requires no oil or other treatment to prevent sticking.

This is not another kitchen gadget that will take up space in your pantry. The Griddler is worthy of a permanent spot on your kitchen counter.
