The Cuisinart DGB-600BC is an excellent product for those who want fresh ground beans as the start of a good cup of coffee.

Using this product is no more work than grinding your own beans with a separate grinder and drip coffee maker. In fact it is less work when considering that you do not have to move the ground beans to the basket. What is better is that the beans are ground to the proper coarseness to prevent basket overflow that can occur when the beans are ground too fine. This coffee maker grinds the beans perfect every time and as a result provides a full bodied cup of great coffee.

Read the Manual: You need to clean the grinding chamber and the basket after every use. This is no different from what should be done with a separate electric grinder and coffee maker if the goal is to have a good cup of coffee. Cleaning the Cuisinart's grinding chamber and basket is easy. The parts remove quickly and are easily washed. The entire process takes well less than 3-4 minutes. When these two parts are cleaned, the product operates as expected. No overflows of the grinding chamber or basket. Everything works perfect.

The Fun Part: To have a great looking kitchen appliance that makes a good cup of fresh ground coffee with the push of a button.

The grinder generates less noise than a separate electric unit and takes just as long. Even less time if you consider that the coffee is ground the way it needs to be for a drip maker, not over ground. The drip operation takes a normal length of time and ends with 5 low volume beeps to tell you the coffee is ready.

The result is a hot carafe of coffee. Hotter than most makers provide but not too hot. In short, a perfect cup of coffee.
