I have always loved hot tea and thought this item looked fun so I registered for it when I got married. Then I got it and the thought went though my mind that I would not use it very much. I quickly learned I was wrong.

This tea kettle is great. It comes in three pieces. A black base, the stainless steel kettle and a removeable lid for the kettle. While it claims to be CORDLESS, it does indeed have a cord that attaches to the base. The kettle itself is cordless as you can lift it from the base, carry it around the room and even sit it on a table until you are ready to return it to it's base.

I have only used this kettle to heat water. The kettle holds almost 2 quarts of water and can heat that full amount in less than 5 minutes. All you do is fill the kettle to the fill line (or lower if you don't need all that water) and depress the button to start heating. A on light turns on so you can see it's working and within minutes you hear the liquid bubbling and you quickly have a boiling kettle of water. The button pops up and the light shuts off when your water is ready.

The great parts of this is that it is VERY easy to use, easy to clean and provides hot water faster than any other heating technique I have used. My favorite part is that the bottom of the kettle has a plastic type base that does not get hot so you can set it on a table or countertop with no risk of damage.

The negatives. The kettle itself gets VERY hot. You have to be careful when picking it up. Also when pouring you can get a steam burn if you aren't watching.

My only recommendation or word of advice is that if you don't need or want SCALDING hot water to pop the button before it finishes it's cycle. I generally wait until I can hear the water bubbling and then pop it. I got tired of having to wait an hour to drink my tea because it was unbearably hot.
