Pros: Improved design, truly automatic, very hot water - FAST.

Cons: Hole is a little small for cleaning inside.

We have had this 3 full years. Easily my money's worth. Love it and will replace it with the same if it wears out!

02/03/04 This little pot is still going strong! Heats very well and has not been one minute of trouble since we got it.

Our water is not hard, so we have had no scale buildup in 3 full years. I feel certain a little vinegar water would quickly do the trick. Part of it's our water - the other part is the quality of the steel in the pot. I wish everything worked this well.

12/13/01 This product lives up to the Cuisinart name, boils water fast, shuts off automatically when the water has boiled. There are no coils inside to corrode.

I got this 5 months ago, and am using it to heat water at least 5 times a day. It works like a champ without fail.

This is an improved design (over the previous model which plugs the cord directly into the pot). The handle and water hole have been moved to avoid bathing the hand with steam when pouring. Pot sits on the little "hot pad", which is what plugs in.

This pot heats water hotter than in a microwave and does not have the taste of water heated in a plastic pot.

The hole for adding water and cleaning is a little smaller than I would like, but not a serious problem.

Lovely design. Works as promised. After a good internet search, I found the best price with an Amazon partner.
