We are a family of 3 that LOVES toast. For 9 years we had a toaster that we inherited from my hubby's family. An old chrome 2 slice toaster that we couldn't operate while also running the microwave or the clothes washer. It got so I didn't need to even look at the breakers to know which one I needed to flip to be able to see in the kitchen again!

So, when our old friend finally "toasted" itself I decided I wanted to buy a REALLY nice toaster. I spent about an hour at the local department store comparing features, brands and prices. Of course the toaster I decided on was the most expensive one. It was priced at $99.00 and I shuddered at the thought of spending that much for "just" a toaster. I haven't regretted spending that much money. In fact, I wondered why I hadn't done this MANY years before!

The Cuisinart toaster takes up the same amount of room that our old one did. The dimensions are (lwh) 14" x 8" x 7". It has a push down lever that lowers the toast down. That's where the similarities end!
Features of the Cuisinart include:

I checked the manufacturers page and it looks like it only comes in the color white. That was fine for me and it cleans up nicely with a damp sponge. It has a nice rectangular shape with rounded edges. It has a little flair on the bottom where the custom setting are located. It fits in well with my kitchen.

One minor concern is that sometimes the medium setting will toast lighter or darker on the first batch. That could have to do with the temperature/moisture content of the bread though. I just watch that first batch and once the toaster is "warmed up" it seems to sort that out. It's not a big problem though. Just something I noticed.

I recommend this toaster to toast lovers everywhere!
By the way, I haven't had to flip the breakers for the kitchen since we got it :)
