We originally saw this toaster a couple of years ago and thought what a beautiful addition it would make on the countertop. It's bright white finish and sleek high tech appearance would compliment all the other small white appliances perfectly. But more importantly, it's made horizontally with all the controls spread across the bottom. We felt it would fit perfectly on a 12" deep countertop portion whereby, making it ideally suited for convenient use.

While surfing Overstock.com in December '02 we ran across a deal on this toaster we couldn't pass up. Knowing that the product normally retailed for over $100 we jumped at the chance to purchase it for $39.99. Even though it was listed as 'refurbished' for that price it was actually brand new. How did we know it was brand new? When plugged in and started for the first time it had that first use burn-in smell all new toasters have.

This is by far the greatest toaster we've ever had. It's packed with convenient features that guarantee that no matter what's being toasted it comes out perfect every time. Because the features and benefits are quite extensive it does take a little reading time to fully understand all it's capabilities. However, instructions are straight forward and functions are easily mastered.

Note: For those who are accustomed to a traditional push-down toaster with a single manual lightness/darkness control, this unit represents quite a leap in technology. Though it may seem a little foreign initially, within a short period of time your comfort level will be raised to enjoying the benefits of modern electronics.

Cleaning out crumbs couldn't be easier. Simply slide out the side mounted crumb tray and wipe off. The toaster itself only requires minimal wiping off with a clean sponge then dried.

For those of you who are time sensitive, toasting on the medium (4) settings takes approximately 3 minutes. Other times vary according to preference, if thawed or frozen, or reheating.

Warranty on the 'refurbished' model we purchased was only 90 days (which we have already exceeded without incident). Normal warranty is believed to be one year.

We've been using this product daily for over a year now with absolutely no problems. Though other reviews have indicated problems with the toaster's electronics or browning capability we have never experienced any malfunctions or irregular toasting results. From our use standpoint this is the finest toaster available on the market. Aesthetically the toaster is beautiful. Therefore, we highly recommend this product for anyone seeking a toaster with all the bells and whistles.
