Great Quality

Author's Rating: Rating: 4/5 stars

Pros: Low distortion, Great overall quality

Cons: Timely install could bug some, High Cost

The Bottom Line:
Great card if you love watching dvd or just want good overall quality

Author's Review
I bought this card not for all the inputs although they are really nice. I bought it for quality and that’s what I got with it.

Installing the card went well at first, the instructions are very clear, it can take a while but if you follow them I’m sure anyone can do it. The only problem I had here was that I have a dell 8100 that has odd drive rails that are a bit too large for the card. So basically I taped it in and its not going any place now, all well and good.

This card produces very good sound quality. I have my computer running though an external amp and speakers so I truly noticed the difference. The low amount of distortion is worth it alone. I found that with most other cards I’ve used you must mute all but the inputs you need to use to get the best quality out of the card.

If you enjoy watching DVDs this card is amazing, you hear every detail and everything had great separation.

I've had this card for a year and there isn't much that I dislike about it. Perhaps the fact that once it’s in the computer it’s really hard to read the input labels on the back but it’s not a huge issue. Also there aren’t a lot of DVD audio discs around but that’s not their fault.
