I bought this carseat to go in my mothers car just in case. She watches my two kids during the day and she couldn't deal with the new carseat restraints, she had a hard time pushing the button to get them out.(She still used an older carseat for my younger child.) Because this carseat is so small it never came out of her car. My son at the time was 5. He's very small for his age and very thin so he was within the weight limit. He's going to be 7 and can pass for a 4 year old. It basically is a back board with straps. He was comfortable in the seat and thought he was cool because he wasn't in a "baby chair ", at least for those rides. We took it on a trip to Florida and it fit in our medium sized luggage bag. Well it seems it so small that it was misplaced when we got back and I hear about it all the time. My mother misses it. Now we're going to Florida again and am planning to get another one for my 3 year old. I wouldn't use it every day because I think for young kids a regular carseat is more comfortable when they fall asleep as they do as soon as the car starts moving.
