Pros: convenient, lightweight, portable, safe
Cons: lots of straps, appearance when not in use
We borrowed 2 of these car seats from a friend to use on vacation. Although I would not use these car seats everyday, they worked well for our vacation. They were compact, convenient to carry, and relatively easy to install. When all of the straps were tightened properly around around the children, they appeared to provide appropriate restraint and fit snugly and securely around them.
The car seats looked a bit intimidating at first because there were a lot of straps, but it was not hard to figure out how to use them. When the children were not sitting in them, the car seats looked like they were loose, but that was only because they were attached to shoulder belts. Obviously, without children buckled into them, there is nothing to keep the back straight.
Overall, I was comfortable using them for our vacation and am going to buy our own this year. I would recommend using these car seats.
