Good Value

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Fast, easy to use, inexpensive.

Cons: My flash drive died (but probably not a common problem)

The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this product because it worked very well and fast, and is inexpensive for the amount of storage you get.

Author's Review
I bought the 1 Gigabyte flash drive on newegg.com because I needed to replace a slower, and older flash drive that didn't have as much storage as I wanted for large files. I ordered it for the low price of around $26, which was a wonderful deal considering that other flash drives for a gigabyte are frequently sold for a substantially higher price. I used it for about six months, and it worked great. It was fast when using it with a computer that supported USB 2.0 like it promised. I liked the rubber lid because it didn't slip off easily, unlike previous flash drives I had owned. The rubber exterior was nice because I wasn't concerned about it getting bumped around when taking it places. However, one day, I plugged it into my computer, and it said I needed to reformat it. However, I did not want to do this because I didn't want all of the files deleted. However, after trying various things to let me retrieve the files, they didn't work and I decided to reformat it. When I did so, it kept giving me an error message, and wouldn't let me reformat it. Therefore, I had a completely useless flash drive on my hands. However, I am not sure of the cause of the problem. It may have been my computer, or it may have been a faulty flash drive. Regardless, when it worked, it performed well. I would buy another one as long as it doesn't die on me!
