Cool Runnings is a terrific family movie

Cool Runnings is a story about the Jamaican bobsled team which competed in the Calgary Olympics back during the '80s. This is a great Disney movie for the entire family and that is why I purchased. I have watched this move at least 2 dozen times with my children and we all love it! John Candy has one of the star roles in movie and does a very good job with his acting. The rest of the actors do a decent job but in the first 30 minutes the acting is not well done by the members playing the bobsled teams nor is the acting by the extras well done. The bad acting tapers off after the first 30 minutes and all actors start performing their parts a great deal better. By the end of the movie the actors are very believable in the character roles they are playing.

Overall, a very enjoyable movie. I cannot say that this movie is a true depiction of what happened to the Jamaican Bobsled team at the Calgary Olympics but the story is an enjoyable one. I you are in need of a fun and uplifting movie that everyone in the family can watch then Cool Runnings is an excellent choice! Cool Runnings!
