Not worth the trouble.

Pros: powerful, full port set, price
Cons: many problems, no irda, bad support, port incompatibilities, 15 inch screen too big
The Bottom Line:
Avoid like the plague. The support is horrible, as is the unit. Get a Dell instead.
The Awesome.
I found the price of this laptop when I purchased it amazing. It's been great for taking notes, and it's powerful enough to play some games on. I also enjoy that its one of the few laptops that comes with a full set of ports.
The Pathetic.
I have sent it back for warranty repair 5 times in a year, and I've had 25 technical support tickets open (which is a little much, as I avoid tech support like the plague) in the course of a year. I've attempted to have the screen repaired twice, both times, they've attempted to charge me $600. Under warranty. It is a mfr defect in which the palm rests press into the screen and cause a weak spot. When any external pressure is put on the top of the laptop, a white line appears on the screen for a while. After time of having pressure on it in the case, it became permenant. The USB port is not compatible with many power-requiring devices, and the PCMCIA slot is not compaitible with several wireless devices either. The lack of IRda is annoying, as is lack of floppy. No docking station available either. ACPI is also not function properly. One time, it was sent in for support, and I got it back without a power supply. I got one back finally, it was the wrong one. It was not compatible with the laptop. At this point, I have purchased one on ebay, until I can get mine back.
