Compaq with attitude and style

Pros: Well built, nice design, nice screen, strong keyboard
Cons: Wireless B , battery life, no screen slider bar
First off I will admit I am a tad bias in the fact I got the laptop free of charge. It was, believe it or not, being thrown out by a friend and I took the liberty of fixing it. All that was wrong was a dead DVD/CD player which might I add was such a simple swap that my 7 year old neice probably could have done it. Anyway, the machine works flawlessly. I compared it to my AMD compaq presario 2100 and its a little heavier, but the screen seems to be much more stout and a lot brighter. Also the keyboard seems very well built and not that flimsy " i wish i was a mac" feeling kinda crap that new laptops seem to display.
Right now as we speak I am doing all the windows updates, typing this review, listening to some U2 on windows media player and the computer works without a hitch. I must say this is a fantastic purchase if you can find one second hand. If new, heck I would have bought it had i known just how good it really is.
