Another great Cobra radio :-)

Pros: Backlight, Sleek, Privacy Codes
Cons: Doesn't have a range of 2 miles for me.
The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this to anybody who wants a nice sleek looking radio but doesn't want to pay an outrageous price for it.
Intro...
I bought these radios in the spring of 2001 planning to use them on my trip to Dorney Park over the spring break. They worked wonderfully with only a few flaws.

The looks...Sleek
All I can really say is that this is a nice looking radio and that it looks very sleek. The color is either charcoal or eggplant and all the buttons are gray with black marks indicating what they are. The antenna added on to the radio makes the length 6.5 inches. The LCD backlight screen is 1"x.5"

Connections....two of them
There are two connections that can be plugged into the cobra radio. One is for headphones. the other is for a speaker. I have used the headphone connection and the radio sounds a lot clearer when you listen to it through headphones rather than the speaker inbeded in the unit.

The controls... Easy!!!
The controls on the cobra radio are very easy to master. You can probably figure it out without reading the instructions as I did, but if you can't it doesn't hurt to read them. There are only a few buttons:
On/off
Backlight
Lock
Volume Up/down
Channel up/down
Talk
Call
Mode
There are other commands that require a combination of buttons to be pressed.

Conclusion... I would recommend this to...
I would recommend this to anybody who wants a nice sleek looking radio but doesn't want to pay an outrageous price for it. I have been very happy with my Cobra Electronics Frs-220 radios, and the have been well worth the price.
