An SUV that sits 9!

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: OnStar program, tow package and the seating of 9

Cons: heavy 3rd row seats and not enough storage area with 3rd row in

The Bottom Line:
Having a large family but not ready for a van. This vehicle was our next option because it sits 9!

We were about to have a big family and we were not ready for a van just yet. When we started to look at SUV, I was really picky on what I wanted. Not only did I want something to seat around 9 but I also wanted to make sure there is a way that all the seats could be taken out. This vehicle does exactly that with some "umph" from you just to remove the 3rd row seats.

After 2 years with this vehicle and 40,000 miles later. I am still in love with my Tahoe! She handles great through rain and snow when you keep up with your tires and maintenance. While we were stationed in the US, we took advantage of the OnStar program you can subscribed to. We are a military family that is always on the run. We had to use OnStar to get directions to a few places that we never been to before. Not only were they better than a GPS but we forgot to lock our doors at the airport. We call our OnStar and they locked it for us. As a mom with 4 children, that was a HUGE bonus in my eyes. I wasn't going to track back with 4 children to lock my doors after getting to the ticket counter with all our luggage.

This vehicle does need you to work to get the 3rd row taken out. Those seats are heavy but I personally look at it as a exercise tool. Every little helps to strengthen my arm muscles in this case. They need to be rolled in and out if you wanted to use them or not. Once you got them out they were a little heavy. Most of the time I had to use both my arms to carry them to our garage. If your a mom who can't handle lifting. This vehicle isn't for you then. Also when your 3rd row seat is up. I could fit my Eddie Bauer tan double stroller in the back. With a few shopping bags on top. That so called storage area is all I could fit with my stroller. That was my negative issue with this vehicle. To me that wasn't a big deal.

I also love how I have a tow package and a luggage rack on my roof. Those were great for our family with our moves or traveling.

If you don't mind a little "umph" at times. Then I would HIGHLY recommend this vehicle for you!
