A good reliable truck

I bought my Silverado used in 06. I've put about 30000 miles on it and haven't had any problems with it. The truck rides more like a car on the highway, but around town you know you are driving a truck. I have driven it on 8 hour road trips which it is perfect for as far as comfort goes, though I would not want to ride in the back seat for more than a short trip. It does great in the snow, but I wouldn't want to have a 2 wheel drive model if I knew I would encounter snow. As far as squeaks and rattles it has been better than most of the GM vehicles I have owned. My biggest complaint about the truck is the mushy brakes. I have tried putting different pads on it, but the brake system just seems to be sub par for the weight of the truck. The gas mileage is on par with a 5500 pound truck. I certainly did not enjoy filling it up when gas was 4 dollars a gallon, but I expected the gas mileage when I bought the truck. I have a friend that has a 2001 model and has gotten 215000 miles without any problems other than maintenance. It has been very reliable for me and I hope to get alot of service from it.
