Pros: Great practical truck for people that don't always need an eight foot bed.
Cons: Gas mileage isn't the best. Minor electrical demons appeared around 40k miles.
The Bottom Line:
This is a great automobile for the person that needs the occasional truck but needs a roomy and comfortable ride most the time.
This is the most practical truck I have ever owned. You have seating for six comfortably when you want it to be an SUV and with the mid gate down you have room for 4x8 sheets of drywall (or whatever) to lie flat in the bed. You don't even have to take off the cover to do this and making it so you could pick up drywall safely on a rainy day. The lockable storage beds double as self draining coolers and are quite roomy. Also with the rear window out, mid gate down, and three piece cover removed from the bed, it's a lot of fun driving around on nice days.
The power train is decent. Gas mileage is actually better than expected. I average between 15 and 19 MPG depending on whether I'm in the city or on the interstate. Still - It's no gas saver and will chug it down when towing or even if you just have a heavy right foot.
The stereo is good - I don't have the BOSE option but I'm satisfied with the standard system.
Seating is comfortable and the cabin is spacious and has a nice center console for storing things that swings upward for additional front seating.
I have had no mechanical problems with it to date and just turned over 51k. I perform only the regular maintenance which thus far has been changing the oil and rotating tires.
Issues experienced:
The lighting in the dash behind the the transfer case button selectors and the driver side temperature slide has gone out. I'm looking to see if it's something that is easy and quick to fix.
