With the exception of more available options, few changes are made to the 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe sports utility. An optional Comfort & Convenience package and the Onstar System is available on the LT trim for 1998. The optional Onstar system includes a cellular phone. Along with the Global Positioning satellite technology, the Onstar system can pinpoint the vehicles position when the vehicle is stolen or notify emergency services after airbags are deployed. In addition, the Onstar system can unlock the doors remotely with a call to the Onstar Center.
