Pros: Not a pair of loudspeakers but a wall-sized window into musical events.

Cons: Position sensitive. Horizontal, vertical, axial, azimuthal and height included.

The Bottom Line: 
After trying AR3a, Kef Q55, ADS 400, JBL NR38, Polk monitors and Andra Eggleston I choose the Celestion A2´s. It was not the least expensive loudspeaker but the most satisfying.

Author's Review
Celestion A1 is recommended full-range class "B" in a very credited northamerican audio magazine. They failed to get "A" classification probably because its sound image seems to come from waist height. But raise your A1s a few inches from floor so tweeters are higher than ear level and tilt them slightly rearward and there´ll be nothing to complain about.

Celestion A2s share the same "voice" and sound qualities as they bigger brother and is also very efficient. A2s´ bass is very articulate, tight and controlled albeit a little fat, no too much just a little which appeals to team well with bass-shy systems. This is the famous Celestion sound, very neutral, realistic, uncolored, revealing.

A2s honors both rock and classical music and everything in between something usually difficult to achieve for even the finest loudspeakers. The awesome thing here is how so much excellent sound can be had for so little money. Finish is English-furniture style. A2s are not oversized, in fact they enjoy a high WAF (wife acceptance factor).

I bi-wired my Celestion A2s, used the accompanying spikes, also raised them about 10 inches (25 cms), toed-in toward my listening seat and put them more than 2 feet away from all walls to get the best from my sistem.

The soundstage these speakers display makes walls disappear, the reality of instruments will water your eyes, music is not a listening experience with this speakers but a moving, emotional event. You´ll not want to stop listening to your recordings and probably re-discover all of them. This guys at Celestion do know what they´re doing.
