others worry about pic quality or technical features; don't!

Pros: fits in a shirt pocket; the battery life is great; the screen is large.
Cons: THE MANUAL
The Bottom Line:
It is so easy to use, so compact and has such a large screen, it is a pleasure to use.
This is my first digital; was afraid of getting a camera that wasn't from a "camera manufacturer" but this is no longer a concern. I did lots of on-line research. This is simple to use. Nice and compact; the size really is a plus. As the others have said, battery life is great and the docking cradle makes recharging simple.
I took this camera and a film one on a trip [first time I used a digital]. With the highest setting on a 512 card which gave me about 140 pics [nice not to have to reload film!], the pictures of each camera are of equal quality. I have absolutely no concerns about this.
Start up time is very quick and a sound that mimics something opening can be programed, as can many other bells and whistles. The 21 picture settings are very helpful, they show what each one is intended for; I have some great sunset pics; there is even one that makes pics look like sepia prints, which is great for photographing old villages or cars. It has many features that are pretty intuitive tho as a new digital user, I am still learning.
Are you concerned with whether a digital has manual versus auto focus, things like that??? This is such an easy-to-use point and shoot, just take advantage of it.
The biggest drawback is the manual. It is on a disk and can only be viewed on a computer. As a new user, i printed out the whole thing, a real pain but very helpful.
I recommend this camera highly.
