Aerobic Striptease - My Thoughts on Carmen's Striptease Series

Pros: Easy to follow, fun, did not feel belittled.

Cons: Tended to be routine, needed more variety.

I got this set as a gift, and as far as some sets go this really isn't all that bad - the sad part is that it could have been so much better than what it is.

The fact of the matter is that a majority of material could have easily been made into a three or even TWO disc set, as evidenced by discs three and four. I understand the need and the want to make money, but that's just completely ridiculous! It would have been much better if they had put the two separate routines together, or at least added some extra routines for some added interest! I don't think twenty minutes (or less) constitutes enough time to break a sweat and/or to learn the routine. As others have noted, with the lack of routines it does get a bit repetitive and boring.

I also think they could have done without some of the fanciful art shots, as well as head shots of Carmen. It was a bit difficult to follow along with the routine when the camera was focused either on Carmen's face or on her shadow casted on the floor. I think that they should have focused more on the routine. I can understand the need to make the video as pleasing to the eye as possible, but come on, do we really need the artsy fartsy shots?

The main menu, and some parts of the routine are very "youthful" and border on being a bit "barbie-esque."

The good part is that despite all the weird camera shots, this was a really easy-to-follow routine, and Carmen's attitude was easygoing and warm. I didn't feel like I was being talked down to, but surprisingly enough I felt pretty good about myself despite the fact that the people demonstrating the workouts were amazingly attractive.

I think it would probably be best if the set were purchased, mainly because of variety and the fact that you're not going to get it "all" from just one of the DVD's.
The ones that I think will probably get the most use are DVD's Two and Five (Fit To Strip, and Hip Hop) are the most intense and actually provide a workout instead of going through the more technical side of the striptease.

I didn't mess around a whole lot with the extras, but I did like the fact that I could change the music as I saw fit, which was quite nice.

If anything, I think this would be a good set for a beginner who is just starting to get into striptease and/or the workout. As you get more advanced, I would suggest using this with other DVDs, and/or lending this to someone who wants to try it.

I don't think I would recommend this for children and/or pre-teens, but I would think that the content is relatively safe for people seventeen and up (although I think seventeen might be pushing it a little bit, but I digress).
