Great camera for the price.

Pros: Easy to use, quick to learn. Good price. Great zoom, numerous features.

Cons: Not great for still pics. Editing software is easy to use, but not detailed enough.

The Bottom Line:
A great camera. If given the choice, I would definitly buy again. For the price, you won't be dissapointed.

Great video camera for the average person. In a matter of minutes, somebody with 0 expierience (such as myself)can be filming. Then, with a little practice the camera really is impressive. The first feature that stands out is the zoom. It's one of the best zooms in this price range. The anti-shake feature works well making anyone a decent filmer. The microphone pics up extremely well also. I generally film everything to the sd card, but you can transfer it from the tape to the card if need be. You do need to get a bigger SD card, a 512mb works great and will hold everything you need. The software works well for basic editing, you can add sound and such and it works great. However, if you are going to be doing a bunch of editing, cutting, and such I would recommend some movie making software that will give you a ton more options that make it better and easier. The video quality is way better than I expected and I couldn't beat it for anything close to the price. The still pic's aren't of a great quality, you wouldn't want to "frame" it. It's fine for email, but not for printing. The night mode isn't bad, but it does take some getting used to. All in all a great camera that does more than enough for most people.
