This camcorder is very new so I had not read many reviews on it before the purchase. I bought this because I was looking to buy my first camcorder and it fit within my price bracket.
Lots of Pros: I love the camcorder. I was so pleased with how easy it is to use and I feel it was the best choice for the under $400 price range camcorders around. I searched different camcorders and after weeks of postponing the purchase I went to PC Richards and found a great price, they are a respectable dealer, and I found an excellent salesman who went above and beyond helping me finalize my choice.
I used the camera the first weekend I got it. I was away with family and they were all impressed with the camcorders ability to shoot great video, rewind and review right there, and how lightweight and easy it was for other family members to use. I purchased a tamarac bag for easy carrying and I am set for my next big trip. I also had a late purchase of the memory chip which holds 200 digital pictures. I took some pics and was very pleased with the way they came out.
Cons: I would only use this in good lighting. We were in a house and after the sunset playbacks became darker and darker. Daytime use and indoor use are great but must have sunlight to make it work. I
