Great camera, you won't regret this purchase.
I've had the Canon S300 for just under one year and am extremely happy with it. My only regret is that I didn't wait long enough for the 3 mega pixel version.
However, the picture quality is excellent (beats many 3 Mega Pixel camera) as long as your reprint size is less than 8 x 10. I was surprised how well it takes night photography pictures...although it's not great, it's pretty nice considering I wasn't using a tripod or have control of shutter speed.
The camera has a high cool factor as well...it's as beautiful as a little digital camera can get. The portability is excellent, we've taken it along on many trips and bought a small bag that easily fits on a belt or in a purse.
You won't go wrong with this camera.
