Canon SD100 / IXUS II

Canon PowerShot SD100 / IXUS II Digital Camera

The new PowerShot SD100 offers a 3.2 megapixel resolution in the line's smallest form factor to date. It has a smaller optical lens design, a small built-in flash unit and new condensed battery. It also uses a Secure Digital (SD) Memory card for further miniaturization.

Author's Review
I got this camera for my birthday, and I couldn't be happier. At first, I was a little "iffy" but then I realized this camera was all I needed. The Canon S400 was extremely pricy, and for what? Just more mega pixels? Who really needs all that clarity? Most people only print a 4 by 6 anyways, plus the camera prints up to an 8 by 10, for those really special pictures, who could ask for a better camera? It takes great pictures and I'm able to take it everywhere. It even fits in the smallest purses! However, not everything is perfect. One word can describe the battery quality--poor, extremely poor. The other reviews have talked about how the camera can't read the San Disk card, but it worked fine for me. So, no complaints there. Also, the flash works fine, in fact, I usually don't use the flash because it's too bright sometimes. The memory card included can't hold anything, so I would suggest buying another memory card, preferably a 256 MB card. Other than the battery dilemma, the camera doesn't come with a case (unless it's a special edition).
