Great Camera!! - Buy at COSTCO -- here's why....

Pros: Costco's add ons (extra batterie and leather case); UNCONDITIONAL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE WITHOUT TIME CONSTRAINT
Cons: None yet.
The Bottom Line:
This is an excellent camera for the price to buy anywhere...but with Costco.com's extras and guaranteed waranty, why buy anywhere else?
I bought this camera for my wife's birthday last month. I went to several outlets looking for a deal after deciding this was the model I wanted. What I found out is that Canon closely regulates the price it allows dealer's to charge (much like Weber BBQs - they NEVER go on sale). Therefore, the price is always within a couple dollars.
When you do find a dealer with - say - a $50 price break, it is usually because they downgraded the flash card to a 16 mb from a 32.
I bought mine from Costco.com for $499 + $13 SAH (its only available on their online store - NOT at the warehouse). Here is what I got when the package arrived :
The camera (of course); 32 mb flash card (still inadequate, but at least not a 16); TWO BATTERIES (key - they run $40-$50 each); all connector cables; standard software package; and the leather case (retails about $20).
Now for the best part:
COSTCO HAS AN UNCONDITIONAL MONEY BACK GUARANTEE WITHOUT TIME CONSTRAINT. That's right - use the camera for a year (or five), and you can return it TO ANY COSTCO LOCATION for a full refund INCLUDING SHIPPING COSTS with no questions asked. Doesn't matter if it has a scratch on the cover or you just decided you don't like the color. In other words, no need to worry about purchasing an extended service agreement.
