G10 a compact alternative to a DSLR
Pros: Beautiful retro style and build, extremely high resolution, terrific performance and speed
Cons: Noisy images at moderately high ISO, complex interface, heavy, expensive
Extremely capable compact a delight to use. As versatile as a good DSLR, but smaller, lighter and handier. DSLR image quality at low ISO, but noisy at 400 . Read More at Epinions.com

Canon G10 14.7 megapixel digital camera ....excellent!
Pros: Super resolution, superb LCD screen, amazing amount of features. This camera approaches DSLR quality.
Cons: Pronounced noise at higher ISO settings. Big and heavy for a pocket camera.
It's relatively expensive, it's big and heavy ... but it is such a good camera! Just keep your ISO settings below 400 and this camera won't disappoint you. Read More at Epinions.com

CANON PowerShot G10: small powerhouse

More powerful than most P&S and a worthy camera when portability rules. Read More at Epinions.com

Compact camera for intermediate and advanced users
Pros: Compact, good picture quality, full video recordings, long battery, effective Image Stabilizer, dial for ISO
Cons: video has no zooming, high ISO pictures have noise
Bottom Line: For intermediate and advanced users, esp those who want to double a camera as a camcorder. Don't buy if you need rotating LCD screen or zooming on video

A Canon Dud
Pros: Great build quality and control layout
Cons: Average P&S camera in reality.
It's not what it appears to be, just like the G11. Canon is in no hurry to make a real tool with the G series. Read More at Epinions.com
