Pros: Small and Compact, drop in film loading, three picture sizes
Cons: Expensive Film Developing, No Zoom Lens
The Bottom Line:
This is a great camera especially if you need to load film quickly and easily.
I bought this camera in 1999. I had heard of the APS camera system, and had been looking for a simple camera for under $100. I was very eager to buy this when I saw it at Target.
I bought the camera and its so amazing how easy this camera is to use. The drop in film loading is very convenient for me, since I have had difficulty in the past with loading regular film.
The three picture sizes are great. No matter if you want the a 4x6 print, a 4x7 print, or the panoramic size, its easy to switch. I brought my camera along on a trip to Colorado and got a beautiful picture of the mountains using the panoramic picture size.
While the film developing is a bit on the expensive size, it is very much worth it. When you get your pictures back, you not only get an index print, you get your film cartridge back, and its very easy to order reprints.
The price of this camera has actually gone down from the price I paid, but for the features you get, it is very worth it.
This camera is also durable. I say this because it fell out of my camera bag and dropped onto the basement floor at a relative of mine. Luckily, it was not damaged. All that happened was the exposure stopped at the number I was at. (My advice is to keep your camera in a zipped camera bag, since I don't know what would happen if it got dropped on a worse surface.)
The only thing I don't like about this camera is that it lacks a zoom lens. That is really the only thing that I find wrong with it.
Happy Picture Taking!
