A Tiny Treasure

Author's Rating: Rating: 5/5 stars

Pros: Tiny, 3 picture formats

Cons: None

Author's Review
I've brought another into my life, and this one is a keeper!

I had been using a Kodak Advantix since the day they came out and really enjoyed the three picture formats the APS cameras offered, but several months ago I was killing time at Target and spotted the Canon Elph LT cameras . When I held one of the tiny things in my hand, I knew I'd be replacing the Kodak.

The Elph is very small, 3.4x2.2x1.4 ins. about the size of a bar of bath soap, or a pack of cigarettes.

It is powered by a lithium battery that you must buy extra; mine cost $6.25, but I expect it to last years.

After you pop the battery in film is loaded by dropping the film in and closing the door. No more messing with film!

The camera has a nice lens cover, to turn the camera on you push softly on a little notch on the front of the camera, and the lens cover slides open, and you're ready to shoot.

This camera has several flash settings as well as red eye reduction. The mode you have chosen will be indicated in the LED display window on the top of the camera.

It also features a date/time stamp that you can use to imprint any of your photos with the date if you like, as well as a Title feature to add one of five pre-set words such as Happy Birthday or Season's Greetings to the back of your photos. A self timer is also here, as well as a tri pod mounting, so you can get in on some of the shots too.

Picture taking is basic point and shoot with a green "Ok to shoot" light as well as an orange "Flash ok" light.

The picture number as well as the date is displayed on the LED screen so you always know where you are on the roll of film.

Picture quality is wonderful with the Elph LT and for those of you who are new to the APS cameras and film, you will be totally awed when you get your first panorama photo.

I am adding this camera to my LOVE IT list, and I know if you get your hands on one if will be on your list too.
