After 1.5 years in the expensive Epson wilderness, I returned to Canon. My favorite printer for expense, size, and print quality combined was my trusty Canon S300 and when it died an early death (college student abuse) I was devestated. After disasterous results with Epsons, I had read good things about this Pixma model and when a local store had one as a display deep-discount, I jumped on it. My petite S300 had now turned into a big, boxy, ugly monster, and I must admit I had my doubts about the ip4200. Her inks aren't the dirt cheap S300 cartridges I grew to love, but so far they've lasted as well as any TWO Epson or Lexmark cartridges. She prints fast, leaving that poor old S300 (slowest printer I've ever seen) wheezing, and the quality is outstanding. This printer is capable of many extras I'm not even messing with now, but color me impressed. If this printer is still going in a few years I'll be back to sing it's praises again.
