This is a great all around printer. I print mostly documents and I have used it for almost a year without having to buy new ink. It has 5 different ink cartridges, three colors and two different blacks. This allows it to use a less expensive and larger ink cartridge for standard black print.

I got this printer for free with a new computer, however I would buy it given the opportunity or need. There really is nothing bad to say about it. I prefer the top paper feed over the HP style bottom feed which I think gets jammed more than usual. There are two different paper tray options, however I have only ever used the top loaded one.

Physically the printer is average sized, not too big though. It features only three buttons. A power button, a feed button, and a paper tray select button. Very simple and straight forward. It also folds up into a box like shape when you close the front and top. I am not sure of the purpose of this feature, except that it has come in handy when moving a couple of different times.

I also own an HP all-in-one unit printer which, if both are set on low resolution print will print about twice as fast. The ip4200 blows it away on photo printing though.
