I evaluated the Canon 15 X 50 IS AW's for 2 weeks. They are a well constructed with ergonomics in mind. The new stabilization button is a great improvement from the former models. The focus knob is smooth a silk. The size, weight, feel, design and optical quality are excellent. The light gathering power is very good for a binocular of this design with a 3.3 mm exit pupil.

I returned these do to the fact that I could not get a clear view with them when in image stabilization mode. The image will drift in and out of focus when studying and object. I thought that I might have a defective pair so I tried others with similar results. I called the factory with my questions and no one could answer them. If image quality is you main focus I would not choose these.

The smaller 10 X 30's did not seem to have this problem. In the end I choose the Fujinon 14 X 40 Techno-Stabi's. They are larger, heavier and more difficult to use but the image quality is outstanding. If image quality is your first concern go with the Fujinons. If all the other attributes are your concern then go with the Canons.
