My husband bought me this machine for my birthday, and when I saw it set up in our kitchen I absolutely shrieked with surprise and joy. I was pleased to find that in addition to making all who see it smile (it's orange and spunky) it makes an absolutely lovely shot of espresso with just a little bit of tinkering.
It came with attachments both for using ground espresso, and for using the pods. We tried the pod samples that were included in the package, but found the ground espresso made a much better shot. The package also came with a plastic tamper which is fine, and a flimsy plastic coffee scoop, which we instantly discarded. We have found excellent crema on the espresso, and a nice head on the steamed milk. The directions are somewhat inadequate, however once we invested in a couple of measured shot glasses and timed the shot to 17 seconds, we were doing fine.
The other machine I had researched was the Francis Francis due to it's good looks, but the reviews on it were sketchy and the price was daunting.
This machine is the perfect combination of style, utility, and reasonable price.
