If you want a REAL coffee brewer, this is the ticket folks!
Its fast, easy to use, and brews kick tail coffee.
I paid $100.00 for mine and its three years old....already older than the West Bend and Mr. Coffee units that barely lasted a year.
It take about three minutes to make a full pot of good coffee. It flows water nicely and brews at about 190 degrees. Since the water is always hot, if you need hot water on demand,it has it. From a total cold start, it will take about 10 or so minutes to heat all the water. But I leave mine on all the time so whenever I want coffee, its ready to go. Plus the filters are cheap and available anywhere.
It makes the best coffee on a fine grind. Since the water flows constantly when you pour it in, the flow is rather quick (thus the three minute brew time) Coarse grinds are too large to impart any flavor to the coffee. The warmer plate keeps the brewed coffee at a piping hot temp.

Its a bit of a pain to clean as it involves multiple tipping to empty the reservior of water. I do this about every two months then refill it with pure vinegar and let it sit for about three hours. Then I dump the vinegar and run repeated pitchers of cold water in there to flush it out. Then fill it one last time, wait about 10 minutes for it to fill the tank completely then turn it on. This is important. IF you hurry to turn it on before the reservior is filles, you risk burning out the heating element.

Downside.....since it keeps water hot all the time, it WILL use some juice. But the coffee is so good, its worth it to me.
