Brother MFC-7340
After doing a bit of research on the internet I recently purchased a Brother MFC-7340 “all in one” laser printer for my home. I had an ink jet unit (a Dell) which, when it worked, was fine, but I became tired of replacing sets of expensive ink jet cartridges when only a single color would fail to operate.
The printer came very securely packaged with all the requisite pieces neatly in their places. The directions come with a “quick start” instruction sheet as well as a detailed user manual. The start up instructions were clear, easy to follow and to my amazement, permitted me to operate the machine from the start with minimal frustration (really, none). Perhaps the fact that I took my time in setting the device up, followed the instructions carefully and didn’t take any shortcuts helped.
One of the reasons I wanted this model was for the faxing capability. I was quite concerned that this is the one area in which the complexities of the electronic device would prevail over my limited skill set in this arena. Not so. The instructions for inserting the various phone lines in their respective places was most clear. I was able to fax to my office from the first attempt.
This printer is relatively compact, print quality is excellent and fast, set up, by following the clear instructions supplied with the printer, was easy. In short I’m quite pleased with this device so far.
